This email is going to all parents in our Winter Basketball program and is an update from email sent on 02/10:

All practice sessions have ended with the tournaments starting tonight.

The 5/6YO coed teams will play their final game on 02/24 at Lipscomb Elementary. Each player will receive a participant trophy following the game. This is the only age group receiving a participation trophy.

All other age divisions and teams noted below will need to follow their bracket, should they win, to see their next game. See the Important Documents link lower right of our website (click the + sign) for the In-House Brentwood Tournament brackets and the County Tournament brackets for when and where those games occur.

The 7/8YO boys rec teams and 9/10YO boys rec teams will begin the In-House Brentwood Tournament games tonight, 02/19 at Crockett Elementary and Lipscomb Elementary gyms. Games will continue through single elimination to the Championship games on Saturday, 02/24 at Lipscomb Elementary. Trophies will be provided to the champion and runner up.

The 11/12YO boys rec teams will play In-House Brentwood Tournament semi-finals starting at 9:00AM and 10:00AM followed by the championship game at 11:30AM on Saturday, 02/24. All three games are at Brentwood Middle School. Trophies will be provided to the champion and runner up.

For the 7/8 boys rec, 9/10 boys rec and 11/12 boys rec, the winner of the In-House Brentwood Tournament championship game advances into the A division of the county tournament while the runner-up advances to the B division.

The 7/8YO girls team, the two 9/10YO girls rec teams and the two 13/14 boys rec teams advance directly to the county tournament and start games on Monday, 02/26. Details on their first game are below:

·         7/8 girls (Alsup) will play at Nolensville Elementary at 6:30PM on 02/26 against the Nolensville in-house tournament runner-up in the B-Division county tournament bracket. Winner plays at 7:30PM on 02/27 at Walnut Grove Elementary.

·         9/10 girls rec (Lee) will play at Heritage Elementary at 8:30PM on 02/26 against the Grassland Champion in the A-Division county tournament bracket. Winner plays at 6:15PM on 02/27 at Clovercroft Elementary.

·         9/10 girls rec (Bosen) will play at Lipscomb Elementary at 6:30PM on 02/26 against the Grassland Runner-up in the B-Division county tournament bracket. Winner plays at 8:15PM on 02/27 at Clovercroft Elementary.

·         13/14 boys rec (Burgin) will play at Page Middle at 8:00PM on 02/26 against Bethesda (Roberts) in the A-Division county tournament bracket. Winner plays 02/27 at 8:15PM at Freedom Intermediate.

·         13/14 boys rec (Rector) will play at Spring Station at 8:00PM on 02/26 against the SWA Runner-up in the B-Division county tournament bracket. Winner plays 02/27 at 7:00PM at Page Middle.

The open division teams – 9/10YO girls teams, 9/10YO boys teams and 13/14YO boys teams – will begin tournament play Monday, 02/19. Not everyone will play the first night.

·         9/10 boys open (Fowler) will play at Academy Park gym #2 at 7:00PM on 02/23 against SWA (Slaughter) in the county tournament. Winner plays on 02/26 at 7:00PM.

·         9/10 girls open (Stegall) and Kelley will play each other at Lipscomb Elementary at 6:15PM on 02/23 in the county tournament.

·         13/14 boys open (Bass) will play at Academy Park gym #2 at 8:00PM on 02/19 against SWA (Meyer) in the county tournament. Winner plays at 9:00PM on 02/21 at Page Middle.

·         13/14 boys open (Foster) will play at Academy Park gym #2 at 9:00PM on 02/19 against EWA (Vasilevskis) in the county tournament. Winner plays at 9:00PM on 02/21 at Page Middle.

·         13/14 boys open (Thacker) and Oliphant will play each other at Academy Park gym #2 at 9:00PM on 02/20. Winner plays at 8:15PM at Freedom Intermediate.

The 15/17YO boys division will start county tournament play on Monday, 02/19 at Academy Park gym #1. Teams were grouped in A and B divisions based on their regular season record.

·         15/17 boys (Holcombe) will play at 9:00PM on 02/19 against Bethesda (Nash). Winner plays on 02/22 at 9:00PM. This is the A-Division of the bracket.

·         15/17 boys (Grundberg) will play at 7:00PM on 02/20 against GC (O’Neal). Winner plays on 02/21 at 7:00PM. This is the B-Division of the bracket.

·         15/17 boys (Large) will play at 8:00PM on 02/20 against Hillsboro (Fontenot). Winner plays on 02/21 at 8:00PM. This is the B-Division of the bracket.
